Sadly, the 'Ghost Rider theory' is proven here, in that the character, in look, design, and badassery, is the focus and the story is simply there to give him a reason to look cool, not exactly to make sense.
I long ago resigned myself to the fact that Nicolas Cage is a great actor who frequently chooses to appear in absurd movies, but I don’t think I like the idea of Eva Mendes following him down that path.
